About the job
In this role, you contribute to the effective and forward-looking risk control of the bank, take on specialist, coordinative and project-related tasks with bank-wide impact, and work closely with specialist departments, audit bodies and other stakeholders.
You will
- support the Head of Risk Control in managing and strategically developing risk control
- assess the overall risk situation of the bank, prepare risk and management reports as well as decision-making bases for the Executive Board, Risk and Audit Committee and Board of Directors
- independently manage selected risk types and governance topics and further develop risk governance, risk policy, risk culture and internal control system (ICS)
- assess new products, processes and/or significant projects from a risk and regulatory perspective and critically analyse controls and operational risks
- support specialist departments and employees as a sparring partner and professional coach, as well as undertake demanding ad-hoc analyses and special investigations
- act as deputy for the Head of Risk Control and, to an agreed extent, for the CRO
- gradually take on additional specialist, coordinative and leadership responsibilities – with a view to later assuming the leadership of risk control
You bring
- a university degree or an equivalent higher professional qualification in business administration, banking, finance or a related field; further training in risk management, audit or accounting is an advantage
- several years of professional experience in the banking environment as well as sound experience in risk control, risk management, audit, compliance, finance/controlling, ALM/treasury or credit business
- very good knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially FINMA regulations, and a broad understanding of risk management in a retail bank
- the ability to assess complex matters holistically, critically question risks and derive pragmatic, effective solutions
- experience in shaping cross-departmental projects as well as a confident manner towards specialist departments, management, audit bodies and other stakeholders
- initiative and decisiveness as well as enjoyment in taking responsibility, sharing knowledge and driving topics forward both professionally and coordinatively
- very good IT and data skills and the ability to communicate well in French and English
