In this important role, you are responsible for the strategic development and design of our network infrastructure. You drive innovations forward, ensure high operational security, and lead a team of Network Engineers to provide a secure, scalable, and high-performance network environment. Your entrepreneurial thinking and leadership skills are crucial for expanding our network solutions and strengthening our market position. You report directly to the CIO.Your area of responsibility
- Development and management of the network strategy in line with corporate goals
- Monitoring solution design and implementation of modern network solutions
- Ensuring a secure and high-performance network infrastructure
- Analysis and implementation of new technologies and trends
- Identification of new business areas for network solutions
- Building strategic partnerships with vendors, customers, and technology partners
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions - Close cooperation with cross-functional teams for the integration of network solutions (Network Operations, Technical Sales, etc.)
- Development and monitoring of strategies for network optimization
Implementation of security protocols to protect critical resources
Budget management and cost optimization for network operations - Leadership, mentoring, and development of the Network Engineering team
- Promoting a culture of responsibility, learning, and development
- Effective project and resource planning as well as performance monitoring
Your skills
- Completed university degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable field
- Many years of professional experience in network engineering, preferably in data center environments, internet service providers (ISPs), or telecommunications providers
- Expertise in network protocols, network architectures, network security, and cloud-based networks; comprehensive knowledge of IP networks, routing, switching, BGP, MPLS, firewalls, and load balancing
- Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management
- Proven leadership experience with a cooperative and motivating leadership style
- A solution-oriented and structured working method, combined with a high standard of quality and precision
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, as both languages are required in daily professional life
