Your area of impact

• You develop central components for a modern real-time data platform and accompany it from conception to productive operation

• Together with specialists from different disciplines, you shape architecture and design decisions for scalable data and platform solutions

• You implement streaming solutions with Apache Kafka and Apache Flink and ensure their stability and quality

• The further development of deployment, automation and operational processes is part of your area of responsibility

• You analyse complex technical issues in a structured manner and derive pragmatic solutions for sustainable platforms

• With your know-how, you contribute to building a new data platform that significantly advances BKW's forecasting capabilities

Your strengths

• You have several years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or platform engineering and are confident in production-near environments
• Sound knowledge of Apache Kafka and Apache Flink enables you to successfully implement distributed systems and streaming architectures

• You use German and English confidently in everyday work and communicate appropriately to different audiences at various levels

• An independent and proactive working style characterises you and you recognise tasks before they need to be assigned

• Openness and a constructive approach to different stakeholders help you develop viable solutions together

• Knowledge of Java or Python as well as experience with Kubernetes, Azure Cloud or modern
