Task Description
- Duty
- Ensure the reception of items, in collaboration with a municipal employee, and their placement in the resource centre.
- Ensure the opening of the resource centre for item collection:
- Setting up the premises
- Welcoming the public and answering questions
- Ensuring compliance with operating rules
- Maintain the resource centre premises (light cleaning)
- Administrative Follow-up
- Participate in the statistical monitoring of the following elements:
- Attendance at the location (by time slot)
- Inventory of incoming and outgoing items (statistics by item category)
- Register of resource centre users who leave with items
- Communication
- Provide the municipal administration with content for communication (photos, text, etc.)
- Events
- Be interested and available to participate in and/or collaborate in organising occasional events related to the resource centre (for example, clothing exchanges, repair workshops, zero waste workshops, etc.)
- Miscellaneous
- Contribute to the reflection and development of the resource centre
The tasks are not exhaustive and may be subject to change depending on the project's evolution.
Activity Rate
Approximately 10 hours per month, namely:
- Opening of the resource centre: 6h / month
- Administration, communication, miscellaneous: 2h / month
- Events: 16h / year (based on 4 occasional events per year)
The activity rate may evolve depending on the project's development.
Volunteer Mission
Ensure, in collaboration with the municipal administration, the proper functioning of the Resource Centre and participate in its development and promotion within the municipal area.

Rights and Duties
Volunteering, a freely chosen and unpaid action, is based on a relationship of trust and respect between the volunteer and the municipality of Le Grand-Saconnex. It is a mutual commitment made up of rights and duties.
Rights of the Volunteer
- Benefit from a presentation of the municipality of Le Grand-Saconnex and its functioning, clear information on the project objectives as well as on the volunteer activity to be performed.
- Benefit from the support of reference persons within the municipal administration for any questions related to the commitment and activity.
- Obtain a certificate relating to the volunteer activity.
Duties of the Volunteer
- Adhere to the public service mission of the municipality of Le Grand-Saconnex
- Share the values of the project and participate in achieving its objectives.
- Commit to confidentiality.
- Respect the people with whom or near whom the volunteer activity is carried out.
- Collaborate in a spirit of cooperation with other volunteers and employees of the municipality of Le Grand-Saconnex.
- Comply with the information and instructions given by the reference persons.
- Be covered by accident and civil liability insurance for the duration of the commitment.

- Take concrete action for the environment
- Participate in a local and supportive project
- Meet other residents and share skills
