Overview
The Department of Ecology and Evolution (DEE), within the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM), covers all areas of ecology and evolution and aims to foster an atmosphere of scientific excellence respectful of individuals. It hosts independent research groups working on a wide range of topics related to ecology, evolution, and conservation biology, from fundamental and theoretical research to more applied research.
To complete the administrative team of the Department of Ecology and Evolution, we are looking for a
Administrative Assistant
This position is aimed at a person who enjoys teamwork and wishes to develop in a dynamic environment, to ensure the complete and autonomous management of the secretariat.
Position Information
Start date: immediately or to be agreed
Contract duration: permanent contract
Work rate: 100%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny, UNIL Sorge
Your Activities
In your activities, you will be expected to:
- Manage HR aspects for various research groups and central services (Co-HR role)
- Manage state and external funds for various research groups
- Provide administrative support for the research group(s) and for the DEE
- Assist department members and visitors
Your Profile
To complete our team, we are looking for a person with the following profile:
- Federal Certificate of Vocational Education and Training (CFC) as a commercial employee or equivalent training
- Minimum three years’ experience in a general secretariat or management office
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, follow-up/control/deadline compliance, availability, proactivity, rigour
- Teamwork spirit, listening skills, good communication and interaction abilities
- Fluency in French and good level of English (spoken and written – minimum B2 level)
- Good command of common IT and office tools
