Senior Project Manager / Head of Project Management Office

Shiptec AG is seeking by agreement an experienced and strong leadership personality as Senior Project Manager / Head of Project Management Office (100 %, permanent).

Shiptec AG is a subsidiary of SGV Holding AG. With its engineering office and shipyard, it provides technical services in the areas of ship design and engineering, shipbuilding, ship revisions, conversions, and ship maintenance in a national and international environment.

• Leading the Project Management Office with up to three full-time and several temporary project managers
• Coaching Shiptec project managers in their daily work
• Responsibility for the Shiptec project management process and its further development (Waterfall & Agile)
• Planning, managing and controlling demanding shipbuilding projects regarding deadlines, costs and quality
• Checking project feasibility as well as conducting technical clarifications and evaluations
• Coordination and collaboration with customers, suppliers, authorities, universities and testing institutes
• Preparation of cost calculations, offers and project documentation
• Supporting marketing & sales as well as purchasing with technical expert knowledge

• Completed studies as a shipbuilding or mechanical engineering graduate FH, ETH or TU
• Further training in project management
• Several years of experience in managing complex projects, preferably in shipbuilding, mechanical or plant engineering
• Experience in applying classical as well as agile project management methods
• Experience in leading project teams and/or a Project Management Office (PMO)
• Sound knowledge in project management, design and technical calculations
• Business understanding as well as knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form, Italian and French advantageous
• Leadership personality with assertiveness, strong communication skills and pronounced team spirit
