In this role, you take responsibility for all communications of the University of Applied Sciences in Computer Science FHNW (HSI) – from media relations and public affairs to internal communication and crisis communication. As co-head of the marketing and communications team, you lead operational and strategic communications and work closely with the marketing manager. Together, you ensure a consistent, effective presence of HSI at all levels. Communication significantly shapes the identity and culture of HSI – both internally and externally.
Your main tasks:
- Co-lead the marketing and communications team of the University of Applied Sciences in Computer Science
- Responsibility for science communication, media relations, public affairs, and targeted positioning of HSI in educational, scientific, and socio-political debates
- Development and implementation of HSI's communication strategy and measures in line with the overall FHNW strategy
- Consulting and training of the management, degree programs, institutes, and labs on communication matters
- Planning, implementation, and further development of internal and external communication as well as content strategy across all relevant channels (web, social media, print, newsletter, etc.)
- Coordination with FHNW-wide communication committees
- Participation in and leadership of projects in the marketing and communications area
- Responsibility for communication processes in special situations (transformation processes, crisis communication, etc.)
- Ensuring corporate wording and compliance with CI/CD throughout HSI's communicative appearance
Your profile:
- University degree in communication, media, public relations, journalism, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in communications, ideally with a strategic focus
- Affinity for computer science and technology topics as well as the ability to communicate complex content clearly, appealingly, and appropriately for the target audience
- Excellent language skills and confident German and English in spoken and written form
- Experience with CMS, Adobe Creative Suite, and newsletter tools
- Experience in education, science, or research is an advantage
- A proactive, independent, and structured working style as well as teamwork and reliability complete your profile
