Junior System Engineer (m/f/d) in the Backup & Recovery Environment 80%

Your Main Tasks

• Monitoring, verification, and ensuring backup jobs
• Maintaining the backup policy of the relevant USZ systems
• Ensuring operational business including recovery tests
• Focus on operation and processes related to backup & recovery
• Collaboration with IT departments and architecture team for the implementation of technical concepts
• Implementation of technology extensions for disaster recovery topics
• Monitoring, alerting & reporting as well as capacity management

Your Profile

• You have training as an IT specialist (system technology)
• You have basic knowledge of the operating systems Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• You have experience in highly available server environments with a focus on virtualization (VMware vSphere, vSAN)
• You are familiar with common backup solutions such as CommVault or Veeam
• You are proactive, value working with people, are reliable and service-oriented
• Interest in other infrastructures such as storage infrastructures (file/object/block storage)
• Very good German and good English skills
