Application Engineer Technical Fibres & Nonwovens

Job Description

• You advise and support customers on technical questions regarding the application of high-performance fibres.
• Planning, execution and evaluation of tests and projects in the field of nonwovens and technical textiles.
• Independent handling of customer enquiries with a focus on textile processes and fibre properties.
• Conducting practical tests, both internally in the technical centre and directly at customers’ sites.
• Close cooperation with sales and marketing to develop new markets and applications.
• Identifying innovation potential and actively contributing to the market launch of new fibre solutions.
• Interface between research & development, production and customer projects.

We expect

• Completed studies as an engineer or equivalent
• Several years of professional experience in the plastics industry, ideally in nonwoven production or fibre application. (Recent graduates are also welcome)
• High initiative, willingness to learn and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
• Analytical working style combined with practical implementation skills
• Very good English skills, both spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage
• Willingness to travel for customer assignments at home and abroad
