About the job
At Endress+Hauser, progress happens through collaboration. As a world-leading provider of measuring instruments, our more than 18,000 employees shape the future of process automation. Whether in the development of new technologies, collaboration on innovative solutions, or maintaining long-term relationships with various industries: our work is based on trust and the shared ambition to enable sustainable success. As a family-run company, we think beyond short-term goals and create perspectives for our employees, our customers, and society.
We are looking for a Process Systems Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our team at Endress+Hauser Flowtec AG in Reinach. In this role, you combine process engineering, instrumentation, automation, and software into reliable solutions for real industrial applications. Flowtec is the product centre of the Endress+Hauser Group for flow measurement technology and develops innovative technologies for demanding processes and applications.
What is the role about?
Do you want not only to understand complex process systems for metering and marine fuel solutions but also to improve them sustainably? Are you enthusiastic about investigating technical causes directly at industrial plants and developing robust solutions from them? Do you enjoy working at the interface between engineering, automation, service, and customer application? Then this position offers you the opportunity to apply your technical understanding directly to the development and successful introduction of new automation solutions. You will work closely within Endress+Hauser Flowtec AG with development, service, and project teams as well as with our customers.
What tasks will you take on?
You will:
- understand, analyse, and continuously improve complex media and transfer processes
- examine operational procedures, identify optimisation potentials, and translate technical requirements from real plant operations into new solution approaches
- analyse technical problems directly at the plant, systematically determine causes, and develop sustainable solutions
- accompany pilot installations, first applications, and commissioning at customers and ensure their successful operation
- conduct troubleshooting, optimisations, and demanding on-site service assignments while ensuring the interplay of process, instrumentation, automation, and software
- support development, service, and project teams with your expertise and contribute to making our systems more robust, efficient, and user-friendly
What do we expect from you?
You:
- have a degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, automation technology, or a comparable technical qualification
- have a strong interest in technical processes and their interrelations and want to understand why systems work or where there is potential for improvement
- ideally have experience with fluid mechanics, media handling, piping systems, pumps, valves, or comparable industrial applications
- analyse technical challenges systematically, recognise interrelations across disciplines, and focus on sustainably resolving causes
- take responsibility, drive topics independently, and feel comfortable both in the engineering team and directly at customer plants
- communicate confidently in German and English and are willing to travel occasionally as well as actively accompany customer and pilot installations, with a travel share of about 15 to 25 percent
What can you expect from us?
- We are a family-run company with great commitment and a sustainable vision.
- We promote lifelong learning through diverse training and further education opportunities, internal knowledge transfer, and e-learning.
- We offer you a varied technical task with direct insight into industrial processes and the opportunity to accompany new solutions from development to successful deployment.
- We enable you to collaborate in interdisciplinary and international teams where knowledge is shared and responsibility is jointly borne.
- We create a modern working environment with ergonomic workplaces and contemporary technical infrastructure.
- We support a balanced work-life balance through flexible working hours and offer attractive social benefits.
