YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Technical and commercial management of complex integration projects and programmes for ETCS onboard systems.
- Responsibility for projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from handover by sales to the end of the warranty period.
- Ensuring the achievement of project goals regarding deadlines, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Definition of implementation strategies and coordination of all project activities for successful project execution.
- Support and coordination of customers, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders as well as building trustworthy and sustainable business relationships.
- Proactive management of risks, opportunities, changes, and project dependencies.
- Monitoring and controlling the financial project performance, including forecasts, costs, revenues, and profitability.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations as well as timely and accurate project reporting.
- Leadership, motivation, and development of interdisciplinary project teams as well as fostering effective collaboration and a strong team culture.
- Coaching and mentoring of project managers and new team members as well as promoting knowledge exchange and best practices.
- Continuous development of project management methods, tools, governance, and working methods.
- Contribution to the further development and professionalisation of the project management organisation through the design of standards, processes, and operational excellence.
- Supporting strategic corporate goals by improving project performance and overall organisational performance.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed university degree in engineering (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, or comparable).
- Extensive experience in project or programme management in complex technical or rail-specific fields.
- Proven success in implementing complex, multidisciplinary projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Sound knowledge of relevant standards and regulations in the rail sector (e.g. TSI CCS, UNISIG, CENELEC).
- Experience with ETCS onboard systems and railway signalling technology is a clear advantage.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to coach and support project managers as well as promote knowledge exchange and best practices.
- Strategic, structured, and results-oriented thinking with a passion for continuous improvement and organisational development.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Very good English skills; German skills and other languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel (10-25%).
