What is my role?

As a purchasing manager and specialist, you take on a responsible key position at the division manager level. You define and optimise the processes to ensure economical procurement of goods. By maintaining existing suppliers, further expanding a powerful supplier network, and operationally implementing the purchasing process, you ensure timely material availability.

Operational:

• Communication with suppliers, manufacturers and service providers

• Order processing and order proposals

• Monitoring deadlines and delivery capabilities

• Price and master data maintenance

• Participation in ERP developments

Strategic:

• Active development and leadership of the purchasing department

• Supplier selection, qualification and evaluation

• Price and contract negotiation with suppliers

• Assortment design in coordination with product managers

• Purchasing controlling

• Market observation, raw material developments, alternatives

What do I need to be successful?

• Purchasing specialist with a federal diploma

• Practical experience in a similar role in an electrical engineering SME

• Cost-conscious personality and assertive negotiation partner

• Interest in a broad range of tasks and fluent communication in German and English

• Initiative personality with independent and systematic working style

• Experience with Opacc (ERP) or another ERP such as SAP
