The Téléverbier Group offers its clients (1 million skier days/year) one of the largest ski areas in Switzerland with its 38 lifts and pistes at 3300m altitude. During peak season, it employs nearly 500 staff.
A Head Waiter/Waitress
To complete its teams for the 2026/2027 winter season, the catering sector is looking for:
Your duties:
- Manage the dining room staff
- Manage and develop customer relations
- Actively participate in service
- Anticipate attendance based on various factors: weather, holidays, weekends…
- Welcome and greet customers during service
- Contribute to the organisation of events/receptions
Activities under the Manager’s responsibility include:
- Lead the pre-service briefing and handover of instructions in the absence of superiors
- Directly intervene in one of the service activities in case of occasional overload
- Handle reservations and prepare the seating plan
- Allocate tasks related to dining room service according to staff and expected clientele
- Supply and manage drinks and supplies necessary for service
- Ensure special services (banquets, buffets, etc.)
- Conduct inventory and distribute daily and periodic tasks
- Welcome and integrate new staff
- Ensure coordination with the kitchen
Your profile:
- Federal Certificate of Competence in catering or equivalent training
- At least 6 years of similar experience
- Knowledge of CCNT, HACCP, FIFO
- Proficiency with standard and specialised IT tools
- Languages: French and English, Italian is an asset
- Impeccable presentation
- Essential stress management skills
- Recognised management skills
- Good listening and communication skills
- Foster a positive spirit and good dynamics within the restaurant
