Your Tasks
Insight into the entire administration: The Ombudsman Office handles complaints from the public against the cantonal administration. By assisting in clarifying factual and legal questions, you gain insight into the various departments and offices of the entire administration.
Clarifying legal issues: You deal with legal questions from different areas of administrative law (police law, tax law, personnel law, social assistance law, building law, etc.) and conduct investigations with the responsible authorities.
In touch with the public: Complainants are heard in a personal interview at the Ombudsman Office. You accompany and support the ombudspeople during this process. Furthermore, you maintain direct contact with clients and administrative offices.
Your Profile
Experience: You are interested in issues of public law and conflict resolution and have an independent and careful working style as well as good oral and written communication skills.
Personality: You appreciate a varied and diverse activity, are sociable, responsible and reliable. You enjoy working in a small team and contribute with commitment and a solution-oriented approach.
Education: You have completed a law degree (MLaw).
Language: You have very good oral and written German skills and express yourself clearly, understandably and appropriately for the target audience. Knowledge of foreign languages is welcome.

It investigates submitted concerns and checks whether the complainants are treated lawfully and proportionately by the administration. The Ombudsman Office is neutral, impartial and independent.
