The Kantonsschule am Burggraben St.Gallen operates a lower secondary school and a grammar school with around 1400 pupils and 250 staff in the city centre. It offers demanding courses of study, national and international exchange programmes.
As part of an early succession arrangement, we are looking for a Head of Building Services (m/f/d) from 1 January 2027 or by agreement

What to expect
- Professional and personnel management of the building services team
- Coordination and planning of work processes
- Monitoring and maintenance of school buildings, outdoor facilities, technical equipment and furniture
- Assistance in cleaning, care and maintenance services as well as mutual representation, including evenings and weekends
- Monitoring and operation of various systems
- Responsibility for budget monitoring and procurement of materials
- Support in organising and conducting events
What distinguishes you
- Completed vocational training in a craft or technical field
- Ideally further training as a caretaker with a federal professional certificate or a comparable qualification
- Proven leadership experience
- Very good knowledge in the field of ICT and multimedia
- At least five years of professional experience in building maintenance (ideally in school facilities)
- Service-oriented and courteous interaction with pupils, teachers and staff
- Good knowledge of German (spoken and written)
