Physician limited until the end of 2030, 80 - 100%The Office of Health ensures a high-quality and economically sustainable healthcare provision in the Canton of Zurich. It guarantees seamless medical treatment and care and promotes the health of the Zurich population.
The Department of Care Planning plans and manages healthcare provision in the canton. To this end, it procures services according to demand, monitors their delivery, and promotes treatment quality. To support a project aimed at strengthening coordinated hospital planning between the cantons, we are seeking immediately or by arrangement, and limited until 31 December 2030, a physician as a scientific staff member, 80-100%.
Tasks
In your role, you will be active at the hub of Zurich's healthcare provision and actively shape the future hospital landscape of Zurich. Within the framework of hospital planning, you will share responsibility for the further development of the definition of medical service spectra, the necessary quality requirements, and their review. You will support the team in the aforementioned project on coordinated hospital planning and participate in or lead other projects. Additionally, you will respond to parliamentary inquiries, represent the office in working groups, and maintain regular exchanges with various specialists.
Requirements
You hold a university degree in human medicine and have several years of professional experience in a hospital or public administration. You are also well acquainted with the Swiss healthcare system. You enjoy familiarising yourself with new subject areas, collaborating in an interdisciplinary team, and acquiring new skills. You have a quick grasp, are able to approach project work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, and work independently and result-oriented. You are accustomed to dealing with conceptual issues and can present complex matters appropriately for the audience and get to the point. Your very good knowledge of MS Office standard applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) will assist you. Knowledge of the coding catalogues CHOP and ICD used in Swiss hospitals, as well as hospital planning and service groups (SPLG), is a particular advantage.
