Your tasks – our position
- Ensure the technical and managerial leadership of the medical technology service, responsible for managing the hospital's medical-technical equipment and its external sites
- Guarantee the availability of all medical-technical equipment through targeted planning of maintenance, replacements and new acquisitions
- Organise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, technical interventions and troubleshooting, as well as repairs, inspections, revisions and optimisations of medical-technical equipment
- Implement and ensure compliance with standards, directives and legal requirements (e.g. medical device regulations, IEC standards)
- Be the reference person for your area of expertise, ensure close collaboration with other departments and actively participate in projects
- Participate in the on-call service on a rota basis, including availability and interventions at weekends, to ensure rapid and effective resolution of technical problems or emergency situations in hospital operations
Your skills – our expectations
- Basic technical training (e.g. medical technology or electrical engineering) supplemented by advanced training in a relevant field (medical technology, biomechanics)
- Several years of professional and managerial experience in a comparable role in medical technology, ideally in a hospital or service sector
- Positive and appreciative management style, with excellent communication skills
- Very good knowledge of relevant standards in medical technology, legal standards, directives and regulatory requirements, as well as experience in their practical implementation (MepV, MPG, IEC standards)
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented approach to problems, as well as experience in managing technical projects
- Organisational skills, resilience to stress and ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Native German or French speaker, with at least a B2 level in the other language and willingness to deepen language skills; technical knowledge of English
- Category B driving licence or willingness to obtain one
- Residence within approximately 30 minutes of Biel
