Operations Electrician / Telematician (100%)
from January 2027
The administration of the Goetheanum building is responsible for the maintenance, preservation, development, functionality, and large parts of the security of the Goetheanum, its properties, as well as the Goetheanum grounds and its infrastructure. It carries out renovations, refurbishments, conversions, and new constructions.
From January 2027 we are looking for:
Head of the Electrical Department as Operations Electrician / Telematician (100%)
Your main tasks are:
- Responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of safety-relevant systems in contact with service companies (fire alarm system, MRWA, NRWA, emergency power supply, safety and escape route lighting, compensation system, lifts, intrusion alarm system, etc.)
- Supervision of inspections by the high-voltage inspectorate ESTI as the contact person for the network operator tasks of our transformer station carried out by external parties
- Responsibility for training and compliance with the electrical safety concept
- Planning, execution, and quality control of electrical installations as an operations electrician and IT network installation in coordination with the IT department
- Programming and maintenance of the telephone system including company contacts for service
- Material and scheduling planning, purchasing, and inventory management of work materials
- Management of an employee (including deployment planning, report creation)
- Electrical on-call duty in cooperation with the technical service staff
For this you bring:
- Completed electrician training (preferably in Switzerland) or you have previously held a Swiss operations electrician licence with a former employer
- Several years of experience in a similar role, e.g. maintenance of electrical systems, security systems, and ideally telephone systems
- You work with great responsibility, structured, factual, and extremely independently
- You communicate clearly and can coordinate well within a team
- Thorough work as a service provider with on-call duties is familiar to you
