The Construction Training Institute is affiliated with the Swiss Society of Contractors Geneva, an employers' organisation representing nearly 90% of the workforce in the main construction sector in Geneva. Mandated by various Geneva state services, the institute provides various training courses for construction employees. These include initial training (apprenticeship), as well as continuing education and advanced training (A32, machine operators and crane operators, slinging, etc.). Apprenticeship Commissioner CFC/AFP Masons and CFC/AFP Road Construction Workers with Cross-Training Responsibilities at 100%

Your main duties

• Act as apprenticeship commissioner for CFC/AFP Masons and CFC/AFP Road Construction Workers according to OFPC guidelines (2 visits per apprentice per cycle at the training company)
• Prepare apprenticeship follow-up reports according to OFPC guidelines
• Support and advise apprentices throughout their apprenticeship
• Support and advise training companies in monitoring their apprentices
• Serve as the link between state authorities, companies and training locations

Your additional duties

• Participate in the development of CFC/AFP study plans for masons and CFC/AFP road construction workers for adults under article 32
• Participate in the development of study plans for advanced training courses including team leaders
• Participate in delivering practical and theoretical courses
• Participate in assessing candidates’ knowledge and skills acquisition
• Contribute to the promotion and enhancement of the trades

Your profile

• You hold a site manager diploma or a federal foreman certificate or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Ideally, you hold an FSEA trainer certificate module 1
• You have solid experience in structural work and/or civil engineering sites in Switzerland (mandatory requirement)
• You are passionate about vocational training and support
• You enjoy continuously updating your knowledge on new technologies
• You identify with institutional and associative values requiring versatility, flexibility and discretion
• Your sense of service, commitment and loyalty is beyond question
• You are autonomous, rigorous and organised to meet deadlines
• You have a strong team spirit
• You have excellent command of the French language and construction-related calculations
