What awaits you.
As the manager of short-term planning for shunting staff and shunting locomotives, you and your team are the central point of contact for all short-term changes within a horizon of 3 months up to 48 hours before the day of transport. Whether it concerns changes related to construction sites, optimisations or new customer requirements, your team adapts the planning at the right time and ensures a robust transition to assignment and railway operation. You guarantee efficient use of resources and a strong capacity for adaptation and contribute directly to the financial result as well as to the stability and performance of the entire SBB freight transport. At the same time, you look further ahead. You actively advance process improvement, automation and new working methods and prepare short-term planning for the future. Your contribution makes a difference for smooth and efficient transport, for a strong team and for the future of rail freight.

- As a leader, you actively contribute to the transformation of the SBB Cargo business model as well as to the evolution of leadership, culture and mindset.
- Based on relevant indicators, you anticipate changes in the context and optimise short-term resource planning with a direct impact on the financial result.
What you bring.
- In demanding phases of change, you guide people with clarity, respect and consistency and maintain a prospective overview.
- You analyse complex situations, simplify them into clear decisions and derive effective measures. You communicate convincingly on an equal footing both orally and in writing.
- University or higher education degree in management, finance or a technical field, complemented by management training depending on your background.
