Operations Director

Member of the management team and reporting to the General Manager, you contribute to defining the strategy and ensuring reliable, efficient, and sustainable services to our clients in the fields of energy production and distribution (steam, water, gas, electricity), energy portfolio management, as well as waste treatment and recovery.

You also ensure the performance and optimization of industrial infrastructures.

In this capacity, you lead and support a team of 120 employees, distributed across 13 sectors, who work daily to ensure the proper functioning of our facilities.

  • Define the strategy and ensure sustainable and quality operational performance, promoting the maintenance and continuous improvement of industrial standards:
  • Energy production units (steam, electricity, cooling water, nitrogen, compressed air, oxygen), including high voltage installations such as a hydroelectric power plant, a photovoltaic park, and a combined cycle gas-steam power plant
  • Public and industrial wastewater treatment plant
  • Industrial waste treatment furnaces and wagon and tank decontamination units
  • Actively participate, as a member of management, in the construction and implementation of the company strategy and culture
  • Develop third-party markets to optimize costs and leverage existing synergies
  • Define and manage the strategy for optimizing waste treatment according to their nature and the capacities of the facilities
  • Promote a strong culture of prevention, safety, and sustainable performance, involving all teams
  • Maintain high standards in energy efficiency and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, anticipate customer needs, and technological and regulatory developments
  • Ensure the continuity and reliability of critical services 24/7 for clients of the Monthey industrial park
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders: internal services, clients, authorities, institutional and academic partners, board of directors
  • In connection with internal and external experts, contribute to the company and industrial park decarbonization strategy and roadmap
  • Supervise, support, and develop a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team

    • Your assets:

    • Master's degree in engineering (EPF/HES) in chemical, mechanical engineering or equivalent training
    • Minimum 10 years of experience managing complex technical sites in the chemical, pharmaceutical, processing, petrochemical industries or public services
    • Mastery of EHS issues and ability to embed a culture of prevention and regulatory compliance
    • Proven experience in managing critical and continuous infrastructures
    • Recognized practice in performance management and continuous improvement
    • Strong operational and budget management skills, with a rigorous and collaborative approach
    • Good knowledge of environmental regulations and standards
    • Collaborative leadership and hands-on approach
