As part of the Clinic for Consultation, Geriatric and Neuropsychiatry (Clinic Director Dr med Rafael Meyer), the Centre for Geriatric Psychiatry (led by Kristine Ewert, Dr med Andrea Wälder and Susanne Spring) fulfils a valuable mission for the mental health of older people and their relatives with its services. It has four specialised wards as well as two outpatient clinics with Memory Clinics at the Aarau and Windisch locations. In addition to consultations and advisory services for relatives, the outpatient area includes the geriatric psychiatric consultation and liaison service for nursing homes. The centre is an SSPM-recognised training centre for psychiatry and psychotherapy, geriatric psychiatry, consultation and liaison psychiatry, as well as general internal medicine.
Profile
- FMH specialist diploma in psychiatry and psychotherapy with a subspecialty in geriatric psychiatry; subspecialty in consultation and liaison psychiatry is an advantage
- Several years of leadership experience in a senior medical role as well as experience in managing training centres and training doctors and psychologists
- Entrepreneurial thinking and understanding of business contexts; additional training in management/business administration is desirable
- Strong communication and cooperation skills as well as enthusiasm for interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary work
Responsibilities
- You lead and develop the Clinic for Consultation, Geriatric and Neuropsychiatry (KAN) with 220 employees professionally, organisationally, personally and entrepreneurially
- You are responsible for the development and compliance with diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines, quality assurance, further education and training as well as the clinic’s budget
- You participate in the Medical and Nursing Committee of the Executive Board and in the Quality Committee of the Board of Directors
- As a member of the Executive Board, you share overall operational responsibility for the PDAG and contribute to the entrepreneurial further development of the PDAG
- You represent the PDAG in cantonal and Swiss specialist committees and support the Marketing and Communications Department in internal and external information work
