About the job
At SIGA, we strive for a world where buildings do not waste energy. SIGA produces a completely airtight, energy-efficient building envelope made of high-quality membranes, sealing tapes, and sealants, which are distributed worldwide. Today, more than 650 employees in 23 countries work to realise this vision.
In the Manufacturing sector, we ensure that our customers receive the required products in the highest quality, at optimal costs, and with a minimal ecological footprint at the desired time.
Every tenth working day, our daily business pauses and we further optimise our processes to become even better. We continuously develop processes to efficiently serve international markets and ensure smooth logistics.
Are you ready to take responsibility, question processes, and actively shape the future of our logistics? Then our trainee programme offers you the opportunity to specifically prepare for a future specialist, leadership, or project role.
Programme Structure
- In the first 3 months, you will receive comprehensive basic training and get to know our production as well as all support processes at the Ruswil and Schachen sites from the ground up.
- Subsequently, you will deepen your knowledge of the SIGA Management System (SMS) – our adaptation of the Toyota Production System – over 3 months. During this time, you will expand your expertise, further develop existing processes in terms of Lean Management, and take on initial projects in the manufacturing environment related to logistics.
- In the following 6 months, you will apply your knowledge at our new production and logistics site in Halberstadt (Germany). There, you will support the cultural change and optimise processes in logistics, operational purchasing, warehouse and transport management, as well as production planning.
- After completing the trainee programme, you will take on a responsible leadership or project position in the logistics area in Switzerland.
