About the job
What to expect
- You take responsibility for the entire procurement process according to our guidelines and existing tools, including order entry, control of goods receipts, invoices and returns, as well as maintenance of article and supplier master data in the ERP
- Ensuring continuous product availability through optimal reorder management, co-responsibility for the delivery capability of assigned products, and ensuring that all deliveries are made in the agreed quantity, quality and time
- Responsibility for organising and controlling goods shipments via preferred logistics partners, including maintaining delivery dates and costs, as well as continuous optimisation of the logistics process in the private label business as the central contact person for logistics matters
- Co-deciding on reorder timing, quantity and quality in consultation with product management (forecasting) as well as initiating and scheduling quality inspections and preshipment inspections
- Independently resolving goods receipt issues and developing appropriate solutions. In addition, you are responsible, in cooperation with the accounts payable department, for down payments, handling invoice issues, your own invoice control as well as checking and recording credit notes
What you bring
- Completed commercial basic training with further education in purchasing
- Ideally, you have at least 3 years of purchasing experience with a focus on the Far East – especially China – as well as sound knowledge in international order management and transport
- Very good oral and written communication skills in German and English are required, as well as experience with ERP systems (ideally Navision) and MS Office
- An independent working style combined with strong organisational talent
- The necessary tact and negotiation skills in dealing with Asian suppliers, carriers and goods receipt
- A quick grasp, networked thinking and openness to new ideas and challenges
