Mandated by one of our clients, we are looking for:
Railway Mechanic - Training Provided | 3-Shift System
- Professional experience in an industrial setting, in production, logistics, or a demanding work environment
- Very good physical condition essential to perform sustained activity and regularly work on site
- Experience with demanding roles involving wearing PPE, shift work, and challenging environmental conditions
- Locomotive driver’s licence appreciated but not essential: necessary training will be provided by the company
- Rigour, vigilance, good stress management, and ability to communicate clearly with teams
- Driving and manoeuvring locomotives for moving, positioning, and sorting wagons on the internal rail network
- Preparing trains: coupling and uncoupling, connecting air lines, and checking proper wagon attachment
- Providing and removing wagons on loading and unloading tracks, as well as weighing or tare weighing as required
- Performing routine locomotive checks, maintaining the logbook, and reporting any anomalies
- Cleaning, refuelling, and basic maintenance of the locomotive and railway equipment
- Strict application of safety instructions and coordinating movements by radio with teams on site
