About the job

Nearly 600 children & young people attend Mattenbach School. The day school includes 2 kindergartens with 2 departments each, the primary school with 9 classes and 2 care facilities. The secondary school has 16 classes in three departments (A/B/C). Mattenbach Day School and Secondary School are characterised by multiculturalism. The children and young people are supported and accompanied through their school years by dedicated teaching and care staff. We are looking for a committed, reliable school assistant to support a class teacher at our school, starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your Tasks

Supporting the class teacher during lessons
Individual support and guidance of children with special needs in everyday school life
Assisting with motor and practical everyday challenges
Building relationships and observation, reporting to the teacher
Accompanying on trips, excursions and events
Collaboration within the school team and with specialists (e.g. remedial education, therapies)

Your Profile

Experience working with children, ideally in a school or social pedagogical setting
Enjoyment and patience in working with children with special cognitive and physical needs –> this is central to this role
Resilience, empathy and a respectful attitude
Reliability, ability to work in a team
Willingness for close, situational 1:1 support
