University of Music Basel FHNW, Staff
Your tasks:
In this versatile role, you will take on the strategic and operational anchoring of the topics of diversity, equal opportunities and sustainability at the University of Music Basel FHNW (HSM) and the Music Academy Basel (MAB).
In the area of Diversity
- you develop and accompany the diversity annual goals together with the responsible committees and are responsible for their reporting.
- you initiate, coordinate and accompany projects and measures to promote diversity and equal opportunities.
- you raise awareness and advise employees, managers, teachers and students on diversity topics and related issues.
- you promote internal university dialogue on diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities.
- you represent the HSM in the FHNW diversity team and participate in university-wide projects and events.
- you support sustainable development at the HSM/MAB and accompany the implementation of corresponding strategic goals.
- you advise employees, managers, teachers, students and continuing education participants on sustainability issues.
- you network existing activities and promote institutional exchange on ecological, social and economic sustainability topics.
- you work in the FHNW sustainability committee and represent the HSM towards the responsible FHNW bodies.
- you support the transparent and effective design of information, communication and implementation processes in the area of sustainability.
Your profile:
You have a completed university degree and bring sound knowledge as well as interest in the areas of diversity, equal opportunities, equality and sustainability.
In addition, you are characterised by:
- Knowledge of diversity, equality and sustainability topics
- Understanding of the structures and processes of a university or comparable educational institution
- Experience in the university and/or music school environment
- Project management skills
- Strong communication and advisory skills
- Independent, proactive and structured way of working
- Persuasiveness, diplomacy and conflict resolution skills
- Networked and analytical thinking
- Further training in the areas of diversity, equality or sustainability
- Experience in a comparable role
- Existing network within the Music Academy Basel or the University of Music Basel FHNW
