Introduction

Uka Menuiserie Sàrl is looking for a Workshop Manager Carpenter to strengthen its team in Switzerland.

As the workshop manager, you will coordinate production activities, ensure the quality of the work, and support a team of carpenters in the completion of bespoke projects.

Responsibilities

• Organise, plan and supervise the daily activities of the workshop.
• Distribute tasks and monitor production progress.
• Control the quality, deadlines and compliance of the work.
• Read and interpret plans, technical files and execution details.
• Participate in the manufacture and assembly of bespoke carpentry works.
• Ensure the correct use and maintenance of machines and tools.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality standards and internal procedures.
• Collaborate with management, installation teams and other project stakeholders.
• Support, train and motivate workshop staff.

Qualifications

• Professional training as a carpenter, cabinetmaker or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in carpentry and several years of workshop experience.
• Experience in team leadership or workshop management is an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials related to carpentry.
• Good mastery of plan reading and use of workshop machines.
• Organised, autonomous, reliable and solution-oriented personality.
• Natural leadership, team spirit and good communication skills.
• Strong sense of quality and respect for deadlines.
• Good understanding of French, both spoken and written.
