NIS Laboratory Manager

Axians operates an ISO 17025 accredited organization specializing in the measurement of non-ionizing radiation (NIS) from mobile communication systems («NIS Laboratory»). The organization ensures that the legally prescribed limits under the NIS Ordinance (NIS-V) are complied with.

We would like to welcome you immediately or by arrangement to one of our Business Units. You will lead our well-coordinated NIS laboratory team and at the same time pursue your technical passion and actively participate in this team. Together with them, you ensure the smooth operation and further development of our laboratory. 

The workload ranges from 80% to 100%. Your workplace can be in Ittigen, Zurich, Lausanne, or Müllheim TG.

• Leadership and further development of the accredited measurement laboratory (ISO 17025) for NIS measurements
• Technical, personnel, and commercial management
• Interface to customers (mobile network operators) and authorities (NIS specialist offices of the cantons, certification bodies)
• Ensuring the quality of the performed measurements and protocols
• Support of measurement technicians in case of problems during measurements

You are interested and enthusiastic about technology. You manage to inspire both in the team and independently deliver clear and convincing results. High quality and cost awareness characterize your way of working. Openness, helpfulness, and clear communication are natural to you and enrich every collaboration.

• Completed vocational training in communications engineering (FH) or several years of professional experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of mobile communication technologies (3G, 4G, and 5G), radio frequency measurement technology
• Strong customer orientation
• Very good German and French skills, both spoken and written, complete your profile
