With nearly 1,300 employees, the Department of Psychiatry fulfils a triple mission concerning the treatment of mental disorders, education, and research. Thus, the department's mission is to detect and effectively treat increasingly frequent and diverse pathologies while respecting patients and their relatives.

The Liaison Psychiatry and Crisis Intervention Service (SPLIC) assesses, directs, and ensures follow-up of complex psychiatric situations combining psychological distress with somatic manifestations or disorders. It also offers targeted crisis interventions downstream of the Psychiatric Reception and Emergency Unit. Finally, it provides specialised outpatient care for the treatment of eating disorders (ED) in adults.

Within SPLIC, the Care Space for Eating Disorders (ESCAL) is the university structure in the canton of Geneva specialised in the management of all EDs in adults. It offers thorough assessment as well as specialised and individualised psychotherapeutic and psychiatric care for all EDs, either through outpatient consultation or an intensive day hospital programme.

Its multidisciplinary team actively participates in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as well as various research projects aimed at improving the understanding, treatment, and management of eating disorders.

The ESCAL unit is seeking a FSP psychologist to complete its multidisciplinary team.

You will provide family follow-up for patients suffering from eating disorders. You will also co-lead a multifamily therapy developed within the unit, aimed at patients with anorexia nervosa as well as their families and siblings.

You will participate in the team’s clinical meetings and may also, depending on your profile and interests, contribute to the unit’s research, teaching, and scientific development activities.

You hold a Master’s degree in psychology and are either in training for or have obtained a MAS in psychotherapy with a systemic orientation. You have personal clinical experience in the field of eating disorders.

You possess the cantonal practice licence or are able to obtain it before starting the position.

For non-French speakers, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
