About the job
Basic Function
We need your support for the Berner Oberland service group! You are responsible for the operation of the elevator systems in the assigned deployment areas in the Bern region. In doing so, you work closely with your field service technicians, who are responsible for periodic maintenance work as well as rapid fault rectification. As a representative of OTIS, you also look after our customers within the framework of our service excellence policy.
Main Tasks
- Training new employees and monitoring compliance with maintenance and safety guidelines
- Transporting materials from the warehouse to work areas
- Supporting the Service Supervisor in organising tours, planning, and team coordination
- Advising and supporting service technicians with complex maintenance work and troubleshooting
- Rescuing people from elevators
- Identifying safety risks and contributing to the implementation of improvement measures
- Ensuring compliance with the absolute company principles (safety, quality, ethics) and all applicable guidelines, standards, processes, and instructions
Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge
- You have electromechanical knowledge and are possibly familiar with both old and new technology and enjoy smartphone apps
- You provide technical leadership to the assigned employees and conduct on-the-job coaching
- You coordinate the tasks within the team during bottlenecks
- You independently plan your tasks, understand the principle of "learning by doing," and proactively address your own questions
- You enjoy engaging with people, present a friendly demeanour to your environment, and build your "network"
- You like taking personal responsibility and are not afraid to get your hands dirty
- You hold a driving licence category B
- Excellent German language skills
