Training plan
The apprenticeship lasts 4 years and leads to the Federal VET Certificate (CFC).
Theoretical training:
Courses are given at the Technical and Vocational School (EPTM) in Sion, one to two days per week.
Practical training:
Practical training in the company takes place at CIMO, under the responsibility of a trainer.
Inter-company courses (CIE) are organised by the Technical and Vocational School (EPTM) in Sion to provide the practical basics of the profession.
The profession
As part of your apprenticeship, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation of the IT infrastructure and its services. You will install, configure, develop and monitor the network and its operation. You will implement, manage and ensure the maintenance and security of server systems and their services.
To protect these systems, you will also participate in securing data, managing access and implementing backup protocols.
To carry out these various tasks, you will be assisted by various tools and programming languages, as well as IT platforms.
Future prospects
After obtaining your CFC, you can consider the following further qualifications:
- Federal diploma
- Higher Technical College diploma (ES)
- Federal diploma
- Bachelor of Science HES
- Etc.
After a few years of practice and depending on your skills, you can access positions of responsibility such as sector manager or project manager.
