About the job

In this newly created key position, you will shape strategic purchasing from the ground up. You will redefine material groups, develop sustainable procurement strategies, and achieve measurable savings through professional negotiations with existing and new suppliers. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to the competitiveness and economic success of Müller Frauenfeld AG. In a further step, you will also support project business through early involvement in procurement and awarding processes.

Your tasks

• Establishment and further development of strategic purchasing
• Definition and management of material and product groups
• Development and implementation of purchasing and supplier strategies
• Conducting price, contract, and terms negotiations
• Analysis of procurement markets and identification of new suppliers
• Building and maintaining long-term supplier relationships
• Realisation of cost optimisation and saving potentials
• Conducting tenders and offer comparisons
• Preparation of market, price, and supplier analyses
• Gradual involvement in project business to optimise procurement costs and project margins
• Introduction and further development of purchasing key figures and controlling instruments
• Close cooperation with the departments of project management, engineering, and production

 Our expectations

• Completed technical or commercial vocational training
• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in a technical environment
• Further training in purchasing, supply chain management, or business administration
• Experience in building and further developing purchasing structures
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Analytical thinking and a good understanding of technical contexts
• German at native level, English skills at least B2 level, French skills advantageous
• Confident handling of ERP systems and common MS Office applications
• Entrepreneurial thinking as well as a strong cost and quality awareness
