YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Responsible for technically correct design, technical coordination, and development of mechanical, welding, and partly structural assemblies in the area of car body repairs (DIN EN 15085-6)
- Creation of welding feasibility studies, concepts, and repair instructions
- Close collaboration with production, calculation, purchasing, and project management
- Responsible specialist and interface between mechanical engineering and project management throughout the entire repair projects
- Continuous cross-site exchange with specialists and colleagues
- Develop (new solutions) / create (existing solutions), design production-ready solutions/repairs for structural damage to car bodies
- Assessments of damaged rail vehicles domestically and abroad.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed education (HTL, FH, University) specialising in mechanical engineering / mechanics
- Good knowledge of current CAD systems, preferably Catia V5 in the areas of solid modelling (surface modelling advantageous)
- Experience in the rail vehicle industry is an advantage
- Curiosity and motivation to familiarise yourself with this future-oriented field
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for assessments of damaged rail vehicles
- Very good German and English skills (B2) in spoken and written form
- Resilience with changing project intake
- You want to put theory into practice, partly supervise the implementation, and see the final results live
- Desirable: Qualification as an international welding engineer (IWE), international welding technologist (IWT), or international welding specialist (IWS)
