Scientific Collaborator I

Tasks:

plan, coordinate and supervise the logistical support activities for UVC interventions with external partners active in animal rescue, respectively plan and verify the implementation of federal and cantonal regulations within the scope of professional activities with animals
conduct inspections (planned checks and checks upon notification) according to standard procedures on farms with livestock, companion and wild animals, prepare related reports and appropriate administrative decisions from a technical and administrative law perspective, to ensure the correct implementation of applicable veterinary regulations as well as follow the case progress until its resolution
collaborate in the administrative appeal procedure until the decisions issued become final and initiate criminal or contravention procedures
collaborate in the management of specific projects within the framework of veterinary legislation

Requirements:

federal diploma of veterinary medicine
completed official veterinarian training (ATA)
excellent command of the Italian language and good knowledge of other official languages, especially German
good organizational, editorial and interpersonal skills
interest in performing administrative and inspection tasks
willingness to work beyond normal hours depending on service needs
experience in veterinary administrative control activities is a preferred qualification

Special remarks:

the position of Scientific Collaborator I (class 10) can only be assigned to candidates holding complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive Bachelor + Master or university of applied sciences (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have gained at least 15 years of professional experience in the required field
the position of Scientific Collaborator II (class 9) will be assigned to candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and holding complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive master or university of applied sciences (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits)

Employment conditions:

appointment or assignment: those provided by the Law on the Organization of State Employees and Teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organization are explicitly reserved
working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
