About the job

The Evangelical Reformed Church Community of Wigoltingen-Raperswilen has around 1,200 members. With a wide range of meaningful fields of activity, the focus is on people. The church community reaches a variety of people from young to old with its offerings. It stands for the needs of a modern and diverse society with its innovative forms of church life.

The church community includes two churches and a parish house, as well as several apartments and a residential building in Frauenfeld, which need to be managed. For our lively team, we are looking for you as a committed verger:

Your tasks

Organisation, setting up and providing rooms for services, concerts, ceremonies, receptions or events, as well as accompanying and assisting with the execution
Technical service: maintenance, inspection and operation of audio and all building technology
Ensuring compliance with the house rules in church facilities and rental properties
Infrastructure service: (cleaning inside/outside), waste disposal and winter service
Assistance with the maintenance of green spaces around our public facilities

Your profile

Completed vocational training, preferably with a craft background/building technology with willingness for verger basic training
Organisational skills as well as independent and service-oriented working style
Experience and enjoyment in the role of host as well as in physically active work
Flair in handling electronic devices and technical equipment in a church and craft skills for minor repair work
Willingness to work on weekends, evenings and public holidays
Good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as polite manners
Positive basic attitude and membership of the Evangelical Reformed Church
Category B driving licence and residence in or near our church community
