The University Psychiatric Centre Bern offers you the opportunity to make a real difference during the night in a professional and committed team. On the Lüthi ward, a general psychiatric acute ward with 20 beds and 2 intensive care rooms, you accompany patients in acute mental crises and ensure safety, stability and a calm atmosphere. Our specialised psychotherapy programme is aimed at people with disorders from the schizophrenic spectrum. Here you focus on patient-centred and partnership-based care that puts the person at the centre.
Your tasks
- You ensure patient-oriented, professional and continuous nursing care during the night
- You care for people in acute psychiatric crises and act calmly, confidently and solution-oriented even in demanding situations
- You monitor vital signs and independently carry out nursing and medical-technical measures
- You professionally implement the nursing process within the framework of the key worker system and recognise changes at an early stage
- You ensure a calm, safe ward environment and support patients in challenging situations
- You promote and live constructive interdisciplinary collaboration and ensure seamless handover to the day shift
Your profile
- You have a diploma as a nurse AKP, DN II, HF or FH and ideally bring experience in psychiatry
- You enjoy working at night and appreciate the associated independence and responsibility
- You are characterised by high social and professional competence as well as an independent working style
- You appreciate a dynamic and evolving working environment and enjoy actively shaping it
- You keep a cool head even in demanding situations and act prudently and responsibly
- You have very good German language skills, both spoken and written
