Lead Psychologist-Psychotherapist in Psychogeriatrics

A cantonal public law institution, the CNP is tasked with leading the health policy of the canton of Neuchâtel in the field of mental health, in collaboration with partner institutions. The CNP aims to rehabilitate patients suffering from mental disorders through the adoption of an integrated and community psychiatry model; it implements public policies for the promotion and prevention of mental health; it acts as a reference centre in the field of professional training and research in psychiatry.

The department of advanced age is recruiting, for its outpatient service, a:

Lead Psychologist-Psychotherapist in Psychogeriatrics

Rate negotiable from 20% to 60%

The outpatient sector of the department of advanced age operates in Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds. Each site offers a care provision consisting of a consultation centre and a day hospital. Our multidisciplinary teams support elderly patients presenting complex psychiatric disorders, with an integrative and person-centred approach.

This service is composed of a multidisciplinary team including a psychologist and three assistant psychologist positions.

We are looking for a Lead Psychologist-Psychotherapist whose main mission is the professional supervision and training of assistant psychologist colleagues. The department of advanced age is a recognised ISFM Category A training institution currently under re-evaluation.

As part of your role, you will be expected to:

o Supervision and training

o Clinical supervision of assistant psychologists, support in their professional development and assistance in the progression of their skills.

o Correction and validation of technical reports, in connection with the clinical practice of the work of psychologists in training

o Active participation in multidisciplinary reflection spaces, contributing to the quality and coherence of the care provision.

o The duties of the position may be supplemented depending on the rate agreed and your areas of interest.

The skills required for this position are as follows:

o Master’s degree in psychology or equivalent federal title, complemented by a postgraduate psychotherapy qualification recognised at the federal level

o Confirmed clinical experience of at least 3 years after obtaining the federal title.

o Ease in a multidisciplinary context and in collaboration with care networks

o Autonomy, initiative, analytical and synthesis skills

o Knowledge of the Swiss health system; fluency in French
