What you will achieve.
- As an overhead line fitter and train driver, you and your team carry out maintenance and renewal work focusing on the catenary system and contribute to safe and punctual rail traffic.
- Safety is the highest priority and you take care of yourself and the team during all assignments.
- You professionally perform switching and earthing work on overhead line and railway power systems.
- You operate special vehicles for overhead line construction safely and carry out the associated journeys on the assigned routes.
- You report technical defects promptly and actively contribute improvements.
- You apply local and system knowledge purposefully and comply with the specifications and processes.
What you bring with you.
- With a careful and responsible working style, you protect yourself and your team.
- You are attentive, focused and physically resilient to successfully manage this demanding work in a 24-hour shift operation. You also enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions. You see irregular working hours, sometimes also at weekends, and/or shift work as advantageous for flexible leisure time arrangements.
- Several years of experience in the maintenance and renewal of overhead line systems as well as in switching and earthing.
- Completed training as a train driver of category B100 according to the requirements of the Federal Office of Transport.
- You have the required vehicle, route and station knowledge.
- You have German language skills at level C1.
