To strengthen our management team, we are looking for an experienced and motivated personality as Head of Plant Engineering. In this key role, you will take overall responsibility for the plant engineering department, lead a dedicated team of project managers, and work closely with various departments throughout the family business.
We are a dynamic mechanical engineering company in the canton of Uri. The mobile crushing and screening plants of the GIPO brand, manufactured in Seedorf, are sold very successfully worldwide. Around 260 motivated and competent employees deliver top performance every day. To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as:
Head of Plant Engineering (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- Technical and disciplinary management of the plant engineering department including budget planning and resource management
- Responsibility for consulting and project planning, sales and order processing of stationary plant engineering projects, conveyor technology, tunnel systems, revisions and repairs in quarries, gravel and concrete plants as well as special projects.
- Planning, control and monitoring of complex design and customer projects
- Ensuring on-time and on-budget implementation
- Interface coordination with sales, production and service
- Support in the creation of specifications and manufacturing orders, you procure goods and materials in cooperation with the purchasing department & act as a link to subcontractors
- Optimization of processes and promotion of employee development
Your profile
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, design engineering with appropriate basic training
- Several years of experience as a team leader/project manager in mechanical engineering
- Experience in the field of raw material/recycling processing, stones and earth
- Sound knowledge of CAD systems and common design methods
- Experience in project management
- Leadership skills as well as experience in developing and motivating teams
- Fluent German and English skills, additional national languages are an advantage
- Customer orientation, entrepreneurial thinking and result orientation as well as communication and teamwork skills
