The St.Gallen municipal utilities are the reliable partner for the population and economy of the city of St.Gallen as well as partly the region in the supply of energy, water and fibre optics. Due to the retirement of the previous post holder, we are looking for an experienced leader for the Electricity and Telecom Network Division who will further develop our network infrastructures and actively shape the future of the St.Gallen municipal utilities as a member of the management team.

Your responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the safe, economical and legally compliant operation as well as the further development of our electricity and telecom networks
• Personnel, technical and financial management of the division with around 130 employees and joint development with your managers and employees
• Further development of the electricity network with regard to electrification, decentralised energy generation, new loads and increasing requirements for supply security
• Maintenance of important customer and partner relationships and expansion of new cooperations
• Co-responsibility for the management and further development of the St.Gallen municipal utilities as a member of the management team – actively contributing to overarching strategic and operational issues and supporting their implementation

Your profile

• Completed studies in electrical engineering (ETH/FH) or a comparable electrical engineering education with appropriate further training, supplemented by business management knowledge
• Several years of leadership experience at a distribution network operator or in a comparable energy or infrastructure company
• Sound knowledge in the operation, planning and further development of electrical distribution networks as well as regulatory framework conditions
• Knowledge in the field of telecom and fibre optic networks as well as in network operational IT/OT systems is an advantage
• You convince through leadership competence, entrepreneurial thinking and a structured and solution-oriented way of working
• You communicate confidently and appropriately for the target audience and can reconcile different interests
