About the job
About the Position
As a Trade Operations Specialist in the Service Business of Hitachi Energy, you take on a central role in ensuring global compliance with foreign trade regulations. You act as an expert in free trade agreements, rules of origin, and export control, serving as a hub between project management, suppliers, customers, and forwarders.
You are part of the Standard Operations team, which is responsible worldwide for the distribution of spare parts for our products. In close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you contribute to the efficient and compliant handling of international goods and service flows.
What you can achieve
Specialist in the area of free trade agreements and rules of origin
Requesting evidence to ensure non-preferential origin
Advising internal departments and local partners on export control and foreign trade law
Preference calculations according to applicable free trade agreements, management of certificates of origin, and classification of goods
Support in preference management, master data maintenance, and regulatory updates
Collaboration and deputizing in the area of "Material Compliance"
Participation in continuous improvement and leading related initiatives
What you bring with you
Completed technical/commercial training with further education as a foreign trade specialist, further education as a foreign trade manager preferred
At least 3 years of professional experience in export control and foreign trade or outstanding potential to develop the required competencies
Solid knowledge of international trade regulations
SAP and GTS knowledge is an advantage
Very good German skills and good English skills
Solution-oriented mindset and initiative
Analytical thinking and ability to communicate complex issues clearly
Independent and structured working style
Team orientation and strong communication skills
