Its organization is divided into 4 entities: the Patient Flow Management service, reception and telephone switchboard, the intrasite patient transport service, and the Social Service.Job descriptionThe accompanied population mainly presents situations of great precariousness. Socio-financial assessments are frequent, as are procedures related to regularization, social benefits, or coordination with the canton’s aid systems.In this context, active listening, psychosocial support, the ability to quickly establish a trust relationship, identify issues, and develop concrete and personalized solutions are key skills.You play an essential role in ensuring access to care, continuity of care pathways, and humane support respectful of the social and administrative realities of patients and their relatives.You provide your expertise to the medical and nursing teams and ensure, in a multidisciplinary manner, liaison with the intra- and extrahospital network.QualificationsYou hold a Bachelor of Science in Social Work or have an equivalent recognized qualification.You have successful experience in social work in a hospital setting or in an institutional context with common procedures: municipal social services, nursing homes, public administration services, or contracted services.You master the usual social work procedures and the reporting procedures to the adult protection authority (TPAE).You have good knowledge of the Geneva socio-health network and social insurance systems.You are a person with excellent ability to constructively defend social expertise in a demanding interdisciplinary environment.You demonstrate strong analytical, synthesis, and judgment skills in sensitive or high human stakes situations as well as excellent writing skills and mastery of computer tools.Additional training as a trainer practitioner, in social insurance, psychology, experience in group coordination, and proficiency in one or more foreign languages are assets that will be particularly appreciated.Additional information* Start date: 15.01.2025* Number of positions: 1* Rate addressed indiscriminately to women and men.Wishing to engage in the fight against unemployment, the HUG encourage applications from the Cantonal Employment Office.Only applications submitted via the recruitment platform will be considered.
