You have experience as a machinist or know how to operate heavy machinery, and you are ready to train for a unique job on the water? This position offers you a varied technical daily routine at the heart of our dredging operations.
What awaits you:
- Extracting the raw material while respecting defined depths and slopes
- Positioning and moving the dredger according to safety instructions and material quality
- Ensuring regular maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning of the dredger
- Managing fuel and parts inventory on the dredger
- Working closely with teams for loading the boat
- Being internally trained to obtain the boat license (cat. C)
- Actively participating in maneuvers: mooring, docking, loading/unloading
What you bring:
- Experience or basic training as a machinist or operator of machinery
- Boat license cat. C and cable excavator: an asset (otherwise training provided)
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, lake navigation, map reading, and computer skills
- Team spirit, sense of responsibility, and good communication
- Analytical skills, rigor, and responsiveness to unforeseen events
- Motivation, autonomy, and willingness to learn a technical job on the water
- Personal commitment to health and safety at work
