Our five-person IT team works closely as an internal service provider with all departments and actively shapes things technically, humanly, and organisationally. This ensures that all 143 employees can work smoothly – and that SCS can continue to successfully develop technologies in the service of people.

Your tasks

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer specialising in Linux and infrastructure to complement and lead our IT team. You convince us with technical know-how and team spirit. Your focus areas are:

• Technical: maintenance and further development of Linux servers, network, and virtualisation
• Organisational: co-design of the ISMS
• Strategic: strategic planning of the IT infrastructure

What you bring

You are well versed in Linux and Ansible but have no qualms about Windows. Managing networks and virtualisation with Proxmox does not deter you either. You want to lead our IT team by example in a DevOps manner and pass on your knowledge and experience. You work with the ISMS team and help shape the processes and guidelines so that they do not become a paper tiger but lead to a secure and purposeful working environment.

Your daily work is technologically very varied, and that is exactly what you enjoy. You come into contact with a wide range of technologies: OpenSearch, vector.dev, Checkmk, OpenID Connect, Radius, Kerberos, OPNsense, WLAN, Proxmox, Ansible, Python, and PowerShell.
