Ensuring electricity in Switzerland
Law, negotiation, leadership and infrastructure – combine these topics in a key role for the Swiss transmission grid. As Head of Asset Related Contracts, you are responsible for a broad contract portfolio related to the Swiss transmission grid and lead a team of ten employees.
As an important hub between internal and external partners, you connect legal, technical and business management issues. You develop contract solutions, conduct demanding negotiations, manage complex topics and ensure that different interests come together in viable solutions. You create the legal and contractual foundations for the operation, expansion and further development of the transmission grid.
The energy system is undergoing fundamental change. Through your work, you make a direct contribution to the integration of new power plants, storage facilities and consumers as well as to Switzerland’s supply security. In this role, you can help shape the future, take responsibility and work together with various disciplines to develop sustainable solutions.
Your tasks
You are responsible for easement and property management as well as plant and grid connection contracts including risk reporting
You manage nationwide route security, represent Swissgrid’s interests in construction projects near lines and strategically develop these topics further
You handle demanding legal cases in easement management and route security and coordinate the necessary internal and external partners
You strategically develop the grid connection process and the associated contract documents
You negotiate and further develop asset-related contracts, bringing together legal, technical and economic requirements
As a member of the management team, you actively shape the strategic development of the Grid Strategy department
That’s how you make a difference
You are a communicative, reflective and solution-oriented personality who enjoys taking responsibility and keeps an overview even with complex issues. You can bring together different perspectives, make clear decisions and win people over to common solutions.
You do not need to cover every professional facet of this versatile area of responsibility yet. What counts is a solid legal foundation, your leadership skills and willingness to work together with specialists to familiarise yourself with technical and business management topics. You bring the following:
A completed degree in law (Master’s or comparable qualification) and very good knowledge of Swiss law
Experience in contract management, contract negotiations or in supporting complex infrastructure or transformation projects
Leadership experience or demonstrable experience in the professional management of teams, projects or interdisciplinary working groups
Enjoyment in collaborating with specialists from law, technology, operations and business management as well as the ability to moderate different stakeholder groups
Goal-oriented, pragmatic and careful working style as well as very good written expression
Fluent German or French skills, good knowledge of the other language and good English skills

We are the Asset Related Contracts team and are responsible for Swissgrid’s asset-related contracts throughout Switzerland. You can expect a committed team, plenty of scope for design and a role with visible impact on Switzerland’s energy future. If you want to contribute your legal expertise, lead people and actively further develop contract management, we look forward to your application.
And if you do not meet every single requirement: apply anyway. What matters to us is what you bring and what you make of it together with your team.
