We support daily more than 500 children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders throughout the canton of Neuchâtel. Our targeted services in the educational, pedagogical, and therapeutic fields aim to enhance and promote the development of young people with disabilities throughout their schooling. We are a non-profit organisation, recognised as being of public utility and founded in 1967. To fulfil its mission, the Specialised School is seeking an Educator-Teacher.

Your mission:

• You co-lead a class of 3 to 4 pupils, fostering a safe and stimulating environment
• You manage challenging behaviour situations with appropriate and consistent educational strategies
• You develop each young person’s learning and autonomy skills according to their personalised plan
• You support the creation and monitoring of realistic socio-professional integration projects
• You actively collaborate with families, therapists, and external partners
• You participate in team meetings and contribute to the adjustment of educational projects

Your profile:

• You hold a HEP qualification in specialised teaching or a HES degree in social work, ideally complemented by a specialisation in disability
• You have proven experience with adolescents with intellectual disabilities or ASD
• You can manage challenging behaviours with calmness, consistency, and creativity
• You are comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with families
• You demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and personal commitment to inclusion
