The physiotherapy activity at the HUG includes around 200 professionals working in 6 sectors
Under the supervision of the lead Physiotherapist for the Department of Medicine, you will join a team composed of 16 physiotherapists. You will integrate the acute care team and provide hospital care, including functional and respiratory treatments, in various units of the Department of Medicine as well as in the Department of Surgery and the private division.
In your activities, you will work interdisciplinarily with the doctors responsible for the different sectors, the medical-therapeutic staff, and you will have occasional contact with the nursing staff specialised in the pathologies treated. In this context, you actively participate in various clinical and functional meetings where you communicate in a concise, structured, and diplomatic manner.
With the team, you prioritise your care to ensure a fair distribution in order to offer quality physiotherapeutic support to some 400 patients spread across the different specialties of the acute care sector. You demonstrate a reflective attitude by questioning your colleagues about the practices used and propose new ideas when the situation invites you to do so.
You have a strong desire to share your knowledge and clinical practice with healthcare staff and physiotherapists in training. Your pedagogical skills enable you to support students in their training journey and develop their skills at the heart of care through the supervisions you provide.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy or a physiotherapy diploma recognised and registered by the Swiss Red Cross.
You have experience and/or have completed additional training in the respiratory field, including bronchial clearance techniques and the use of specific respiratory equipment.
You are capable of working autonomously while demonstrating team spirit. This allows you to work flexibly within an interprofessional team, relying on excellent communication skills and a desire to develop your practices.
Proficiency with computer tools (Office Suite) is necessary to successfully carry out this mission. Mastery of HUG applications, notably DPI, is a plus.
You have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and promote the quality of care.
You are organised and able to work independently by setting your priorities.
You possess analytical and synthesis skills and know how to manage stress professionally.
You are open to change, to questioning your practices, and demonstrate availability and punctuality.
You are comfortable with welcoming and human relations, with a strong capacity for listening and empathy.
