For our Procurement department, we are looking for a motivated individual as

Lead Buyer / Strategic Buyer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• You are responsible as Lead Buyer for strategic material group management as well as ensuring supply security (plastic injection molding, mechanically processed parts, cast and sheet metal parts, semi-finished products, and raw materials)
• You analyze and define the material group and supplier strategy annually
• You negotiate contracts, prices, and conditions for investments and services
• You implement the defined strategies
• You are responsible for professional, worldwide supplier management (evaluation, selection, assessment, development)
• As Lead Buyer, you further develop material group management
• You conduct targeted procurement market research and monitoring and identify new trends
• You ensure, in close coordination with project buyers, the realization of procurement and development needs during the product development process

Your profile

• You have a technical basic education, ideally in one of the listed material groups
• You have furthered your education as a purchasing expert with a federal certificate or university of applied sciences degree
• You possess very good technical, mechanical, and plastics-related expertise
• You have proven experience as a Lead Buyer / Strategic Buyer and also possess business management knowledge
• You have very good knowledge in material group management
• You bring strong negotiation skills in the international procurement market and have good contract knowledge
• You speak fluent German and very good English
