Regional Forest Engineer and Natural Hazards Specialist

For 1st November 2026 or by agreement, we are looking for a regional forest engineer and natural hazards specialist (80-100%).
- As a regional forest engineer, you are responsible for the municipality of Bregaglia assigned to you: implementation of federal and cantonal forest legislation; ensuring the best possible fulfilment of forest functions
- As a natural hazards specialist, you manage related projects in the southern Graubünden region: preparation of hazard maps created separately according to events as well as risk analyses; advising municipalities, private individuals and other services on integrated risk management in the event of natural hazards; serving as a member of the hazard commission 3 (southern Graubünden and Herrschaft-Prettigovia-Davos).
- Degree as a PF or SUP forest engineer or master’s in environmental sciences PF with specialisation in forest and landscape management
- Solid silvicultural knowledge
- Several years of experience with solid knowledge in all processes related to relevant gravitational natural hazards as well as hazard assessment; familiarity with integrated risk management in the context of natural hazards in Switzerland
- The working languages are generally German and Italian; good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
- Stimulating activity with a direct connection to the forest as well as integrated risk management related to natural hazards, nature and technology
- Independent working method within a motivated and collegial team
